CAVE CAY E X U M A CAYS , T H E B A H A M A S P rivate Island 220-Acre paradise is positioned in the heart of the Exuma Cays immediately north of Musha Cay, Exuma. Cave Cay is unique because of its very own deep-water harbour (12 feet at low tide) and private marina with 35 dock slips and a 2,800-foot private landing strip. Cave Cay is completely self-sufficient with all utilities underground, water, sewage and power supply. There are 5 diesel generators ranging in size from 85 KW to 375 KW. The power supply is hybrid being solar supported by generator power. There is a fuel farm with a capacity to store 64,000 gallons of diesel and 13,000 gallons of gasoline. Fresh water is stored in two tanks, 12,000 gallons and 14,000 gallons. The water making facilities are capable of making 5,000 gallons per day being expanded to 20,000 gallons per day. The island has a number of white beaches and caves that make this a special place to enjoy. Several living and recreational buildings are situated at an elevation of 40 feet above sea level. The main house sits on the top of this ridge where it boasts exceptional views of the Exuma Cays and Ocean. Cave Cay has a master plan and approvals to operate as a full commercial operation with its Marina and can be used for commercial and hotel development or used as its own private enclave. There are several maintenance buildings and accommodations for 6 full time staff. Materials, boats, vehicles and equipment are in place. The present owner/developer has thought of everything and gone through the tedious 2 year process to get all of the government approval and several years to dredge the harbour and build the runway. This is an opportunity for a developer to step in and take this special Island to next level.

What JetASAP Clients Are Saying

I was extremely impressed at the ease of use and simplicity. Within minutes my JetASAP app was binging away with offers for charter from many top tier safety rated providers with all the relevant information I needed to make a decision. -Robert M., New York We saved nearly 50% on our last trip by sending our re- quest directly to operators, and we even got a free up- grade. JetASAP is now our favorite app to use every time we fly privately. -Dr. Michael P., Aspen The app is very user friendly and the chat feature is great! I like that I can talk directly to operators on every flight. -Georgina T., Fort Lauderdale Compared to other apps I’ve used, JetASAP quickly provides real-time quotes and availability from operators. I love that I can easily choose a quote and push a button to book it directly. -Kevin P., Miami Who knows more affordable or easier access points than the operators themselves? I’m excited to have a new option. -Bradford M., Knoxville I am writing to you just to say thank you for setting me up with the app and user code. I love it, simply awesome. -Howard H., Chicago

Welcome Welcome to the 20th Anniversary issue of Elite Traveler . And what a

roller coaster the last 20 years have been! From recessions and pandemics to the rise of social and digital media and the dot-com bubble, our world has changed in so many ways and, consequently, so has this publication. What has remained the same is our commitment to bringing the very best in luxury lifestyle. Appetites have changed — as

2001 The first issue of Elite Traveler is published under the leadership of private aviation and luxury travel expert Doug Gollan. It establishes the first of many Top Suites lists with a rundown of the best suites in Hong Kong. The magazine soon becomes essential reading for the globe-trotting elite that rely on the larger-than-life magazine for intel on the very best in luxury lifestyle. 2004 Elite Traveler launches the first annual issue of its Hotels, Resorts & Spas Guide. This standalone issue serves as a year-round guide to the best accommodations on the planet, whether you’re seeking a secluded seaside sojourn or a family-friendly festivity. Accompanied by stunning imagery and the direct contacts of the key people to book your stay, this soon becomes a must-read. 2012 The annual Top 100 Restaurants in the World reader survey is officially launched! Alinea in Chicago beats fierce competition from the top five podium winners, Fat Duck, Per Se, Pierre Gagnaire and Daniel. Alinea goes on to take the crown for five consecutive years, before letting Azurmendi and Restaurant de l’Hôtel de Ville have a piece of the pie in 2017 and 2019, respectively. 2013 Elite Traveler joins Instagram. Bringing the best of luxury lifestyle into the digital realm, our Instagram page is a finger-on-the-pulse insight into the daily innovations and updates of the luxury sphere. Follow us @elitetraveler 2015 The print edition of Elite Traveler is re-designed, bringing it firmly into contemporary times with modern photoshoots and closer ties to its quickly growing digital counterpart, elitetraveler.com . The team of editors expands to include London as well as New York, giving the magazine a truly global outlook on the world of luxury. 2020 The new elitetraveler.com website is relaunched. The chic website provides an immersive experience that helps inspire our loyal readers on their next adventures. Simple and clean navigation is paired with travel guides and interactive videos. 2021 ...and 20 years later, here we are! Though the Elite Traveler offering has evolved and expanded (our website now has searchable databases showcasing the best in luxury lifestyle from suites to restaurants to jets) we remain true to our underpinning goal of helping readers navigate the dynamic world of luxury travel and lifestyle. We’re looking forward to accompanying you on another 20 years of adventures.

has a serious penchant for big hair and heavy glitter eye makeup, if the front cover of our first issue (pictured at right) is anything to go by. But as with many a ‘significant’ birthday, the sentimentality of celebrating our 20th has started us thinking about the last two decades in the world of luxury; how it has evolved and our role within it. In addition, with Covid-19 pressing pause on life as we know it, we, like many companies and individuals, have used this opportunity to rethink and re-strategize our values. We are going to hold ourselves to higher account and ensure that each and every issue, starting with this one, is packed full of content that champions sustainable, ethical and environmentally conscious luxury. Luxury, by its very nature, advocates for a ‘buy less, buy better’ mentality. We’ve always been about luxury with a purpose here at Elite Traveler — from examining the exquisite craftsmanship that goes into objets d’art you’ll find on our pages and working with companies to create bespoke travel experiences, to highlighting resorts that pride themselves on supporting the local community, or those that take great care to preserve the ecosystem in which they operate. To kick-start this transformation, and to celebrate our 20th anniversary milestone, we have put together the ultimate guide to sustainable luxury living. Focusing on 20 key areas, including watches, restaurants, spas, hotels and cars, we have curated this collectible special edition to showcase the most ethical, sustainable and environmentally friendly brands —highlighting those that spearheaded this way of operating, and looking to the future of the next generation of luxury lifestyle brands. Just as we have a role, so do you. Did you know that, though small in number, those that engage in luxury travel will vacation more frequently, for longer periods, and spend more while they’re there? So your influence, and therefore responsibility, is huge. Our editorial team and contributors are asking themselves the same questions that you are. Beyond the aestheticism, what impact is this project, this restaurant, this resort, jet or watch having on the world?Who are the people reshaping luxury, and how can I support their endeavors? How can you ensure you are spending your money with brands that align with your values? You hold a unique position, with the ability to affect real change in the world and encourage others to follow you on the good, green path. We’ll see you there. MILLION AIR

Take off Welcome aboard, and welcome to the world of Million Air! We all know the importance of a first impression, and in any interaction, you only get one chance to make that first impression a good one. At Million Air, we strive to create an outstanding and everlasting first impression for you and your customers, at each and every location in our network. In fact, Million Air was founded on this very basis. First impressions are everlasting. Nearly forty years ago, in Addison, Texas, Mary Kay Ash, the founder of Mary Kay Cosmetics, would have her top sales people fly in from all over the country for meetings and conventions at corporate headquarters. Arriving in private jets, they would be whisked off to events in stretch limousines and stay in the finest accommodations. The experience was incredible but one step fell terribly short: When the private jets arrived at the FBO it was simply a ‘gas station.’ To enhance the experience, Mary Kay founded the very first Million Air with a beautiful facility and even Mary Kay products in the restrooms. This concept eventually grew into the Million Air network today. Million Air provides a level of safety, service and atmosphere that is unparalleled in business aviation. Each and every employee lives by our ‘Three Steps of Service.’ We realize customers do not distinguish between employees and the company; the employee is the company, and their actions have a direct effect on our customers’ first impressions of our company. We invest heavily in hiring and training to ensure that, once customers visit our facilities, their experience is so memorable, they will come back again and again. We have an exhaustive screening system that helps us identify the best candidate for each position. We seek people who are naturals at their prospective job, and who have all the attributes for learning the skills necessary for high-end technical and customer services. Then, we make sure that each Million Air employee is trained to the highest standards, ensuring consistently superior customer service. Others hire for technical competence and hope for a good personality fit. We seek people who share our vision and culture, and then provide world-class technical training. We create a warm, friendly atmosphere, where weary travelers are calmed and refreshed, and the needs of time-sensitive passengers are efficiently met. We want you to “use” us to create that all important first and last impression with your customers as they travel on business to meetings or events in your city. We embrace and look forward to every opportunity you afford us to customize your every arrival and departure experience.

Keep ’em flying...!

Richmond is known for its important place in American history as a city that was a focal point during the Colonial, Revolutionary and Civil War eras. Today, Richmond is a flourishing Southern city offering visitors a fascinating look into the past with various museums and historical sites, but it also provides a 21st-century experience with many cultural and outdoor activities. The fall and winter seasons are the perfect time to visit Richmond’s many museums. The Virginia Museum of Fine Arts opened back in 1936 and has a number of excellent exhibits. Be sure to check out the ongoing Fabergé and Russian Decorative Arts exhibition — it is the largest public collection of imperial Easter eggs outside of Russia. The Science Museum of Virginia, housed in a 100-year-old train station, is home to the world’s fastest and highest-flying production aircraft, the SR-71 Blackbird. This iconic, supersonic stealth plane is the focal point of the Museum’s exhibition gallery, Speed. “Suspending a supersonic jet from the ceiling of a historic train station presents some challenges,” says Richard Conti, chief wonder officer, Science Museum of Virginia. Richmond’s temperate climate allows for a wide range of exciting outdoor activities, such as being a spectator at the thrilling Richmond Raceway. This 1,000-acre, multipurpose facility hosts concerts, festivals and, of course, races throughout the year.

Walled city of Cartagena

Rich in Colonial-style architecture, the port city of Cartagena lies within an impressive seven miles of centuries-old colonial stone walls and is the fifth- largest city in Colombia. Located downtown, Cartagena’s Old Town is a Unesco World Heritage Site — a delightful maze of cobbled alleys, balconies covered in bougainvillea and massive churches that cast their shadows across plazas. Cartagena is a place to drop all sightseeing routines. Instead, just stroll through the old town day and night. Soak up the atmosphere, pausing to ward off the heat and humidity in one of the city’s many open-air cafes. An approximately 17-minute drive from downtown is the Castillo de San Felipe de Barajas. This tourist attraction used to be an ancient fortress; the Spaniards built it in 1536. The tunnels were constructed in such a way as to make it possible to hear the footsteps of an approaching enemy. Some of these tunnels are open for viewing today. To really take in the city, visit the hill of La Popa. A convent, El Convento de la Popa, is located on top of a cliff, making it the perfect site to appreciate the ‘Heroic City’ from a distance. From here, the view takes in the Caribbean, Tierra Bomba Island, the tourist area, the walled downtown, La Boquilla, the northern zone and the city in general. And if you really want to get away, take a 45-minute boat ride to Las Islas del Rosario. This archipelago of some 30 islands boasts beautiful beaches, coral and turquoise waters.

The stunning Mount Rainier

With a population of a little over 20,000, Moses Lake has just enough amenities to create an exciting atmosphere, yet not enough to spoil the natural beauty of this unique area. Located just three hours southeast of Seattle, and nearly five hours northeast of Portland, it is the perfect landing spot allowing easy access to major cities, yet it’s surrounded by wilderness and open space. Moses Lake is home to the Grand Coulee Dam on the Columbia River, which helped build up this picturesque city and make it what it is today. Thanks to its prime location, visitors can take

advantage of Mount Rainier National Park, which is around a four hour drive away. This park is home to the iconic, glacier-capped, active volcano Mount Rainier, which stands an impressive 14,411 feet above sea level, making it one of the tallest peaks in America. Perhaps the most important aspect of Moses Lake is the lake itself. The picturesque lake is 18 miles long with over 120 miles of shoreline, and is a popular area for outdoor enthusiasts for its abundance of hiking, biking and camping. Kayaks and canoes also launch regularly from Neppel Landing, providing a unique view of this valuable ecosystem.

INSPIRE 20TH ANNIVERSARY GUIDE TO RESPONSIBLE LUXURY

Motoring

Since the advent of the internal combustion engine, automakers have discovered ways to unremittingly innovate: adding speed and torque, subtracting weight and heat. While superlatives will always secure bragging rights, over the last two decades consumer interests shifted, and a different set of races ensued. Catchphrases like fuel consumption, daily driver and emissions compelled manufacturers to invest in alternative technologies, bridging the gap between time-tested analog tendencies and digital frontier possibilities. Swan songs abounded while car companies realigned, creating mission statements and implementing legacy-building strategies around yet another set of buzzwords. Sustainability, electrification and carbon neutrality now drive agendas and set business plans. There’s a race for (electric) range at the moment, but brands know once that’s achieved, a greater objective must steer. In the following pages, a look to the past serves as a reminder of game-changing technological advancements while a peek into the future inspires, encouraging ideas once unthinkable.

TESLA MODEL S From its outset, the company’s polarizing founder, Elon Musk, deemed Tesla a technology company, not a car manufacturer. Upon its debut in 2012, the Model S boasted a 0-60 mph of 3.9 seconds with a best-in-class 28 cubic feet of trunk space, proving to the world that an electric vehicle was neither slow nor impractical. The four-door luxury sedan turned heads with its enormous 17-inch interior touch screen, while Musk’s willingness to launch technology that wasn’t perfect caught the automobile world by surprise. Disregarding early profitability thanks to a $50m investment by Daimler (which resulted in a 10% stake in the company), Musk looked instead to perpetual improvements as well as the big picture. Tesla built a nationwide network of fast charging stations to complement its cars, altering the country’s infrastructure. When the Model S entered the market, it had a single motor propelling the rear wheels. Two years later, the dual motor option arrived with ‘Insane Mode’ (dropping its 0-60 mph to 3.2 seconds). Tesla continues to confound while establishing status quo, from the smartphone-style, over-the-air updates to early autonomy and a direct-to-consumer sales strategy. The 2021 Plaid + Model S claims a 520-mile range with a 0-60 mph in 1.99 seconds and top speed of 200 mph. From $142,990, tesla.com
