MEET THE LEONE McLOUGHLIN FAMILY The Stuffed Shirt, Bunny’s, Town Hall Deli, O’Reily’s, Cryan’s, Joe’s Pizzeria and Sonny’s Bagels. If these businesses set off a wave of nostalgia for all things Maplewood and South Orange, you are likely a lifelong resident of the area. If you answer the question, “MAPSO or SOMA?” with “Neither” your longevity is confirmed. This is definitely the case for the Leone and McLoughlin families who, for three generations, have called this area their home.

Tiffany’s parents, Carole and Louis raised Tiffany and her four sisters (Jenna, Margaux, Carissa, and Olivia) in South Orange. Tiffany shared, “Three of the five sisters are teachers which is true testament to the positive experiences we have all had at South Mountain Elementary school and the teachers who have inspired us.” Tiffany is a preschool teacher at TSTI in South Orange where all five girls attended preschool and religious school. Sister Carissa teaches kindergarten with her own former teacher at South Mountain School. Her sister, Olivia, teaches fourth grade in the Bronx. Ryan’s family is equally tied to SOMA. His parents, Lynne and Gene, are from Maplewood and South Orange respectively. They married and raised their three children in Maplewood. Ryan’s sister, Jessica, married Greg from South Orange. His younger sister, Lauren, married Pete. He is also from South Orange and they were high school sweethearts. Even Ryan’s grandparents, Viola and Clyde, were from SOMA, married, and continued to raise their family in Maplewood.
