INTERIOR DESIGN Well, decor lovers… life went ahead and made some plans without consulting me (rude!), and now I’m on a surprise journey with leukemiUGH—which, let’s be real, is an ugly word for an even uglier situation. The good news? It’s treatable, curable, and totally beatable. The not-so-fun news? It’s gonna be grueling. But if there was EVER a moment to lean into the power of our physical surroundings, this is it! Whether you’re in a hospital room, a rental, or just need a little refresh—here are some easy, temporary decor tricks (AKA: ZERO wall or surface damage, people!) to make any space feel more like you. - Beautiful bedding: Because ugly sheets = bad vibes. Pick something you LOVE. - Faux floral garlands & decal stickers: Wrap sad furniture or blank walls in color and life. No watering, no commitment, just vibes. - Command strips: Hang art, silly notes, and glittery pictures for instant joy. - Spring-loaded curtain rods: Soften harsh windows with pretty curtains (no holes needed!) - LED fairy lights: Because EVERYTHING looks better with a soft twinkle. Period. - Removable wall murals: Yes, they exist. Yes, they peel right off when you’re done. And yes, they’re fabulous. Lastly: YOU are also part of the décor! A sparkly pair of earrings? A bright, happy scarf? A leopard-print water bottle? (Why not?!) If life hands you a sterile space, turn it into a damn mood board. Find the joy. And if you can’t find it? Decorate the hell out of something until it appears.
