NETWORKS AND RECOMMENDED WORKFLOW Walsworth recommends the following workflow for the creation of yearbook files for schools connected to a network. This workflow is based on important information from Adobe Systems Incorporated, research by Walsworth’s Desktop Technology Department and customer feedback. Step 1: Log on Yearbook staffs must have access to certain areas of their hard drive to use Adobe applications with Walsworth’s Enhancements and software. See the Overview of requirements section in this manual for more details. One suggestion is to set up user log-ins at a group level, so all yearbook staff members have access to the same areas of the workstation and server no matter where they log in.

The network or systems administrator should set up a drive or an area on the network specifically for yearbook files. It could be named Yearbook and, based on their login, only those persons associated with the yearbook could access this part of the drive. The yearbook staff can use this volume or drive to store copies of their page files, images and graphics. NETWORK USERS 11
