Having grown up in the family business, Lawrence Skutelsky has always been fully immersed in the world of wood flooring. With a degree in architecture, he brings a design-driven perspective to the company and remains committed to expanding his knowledge of the industry. He is involved in every aspect of the business, always seeking new ideas and opportunities to grow PID’s reach. Skutelsky works closely with the team on strategic expansion into new markets and is advancing initiatives like PID Sources. This program builds partnerships with trade professionals and design studios to expand the company’s footprint and make its products more accessible across the industry. He also plays a hands-on role in marketing, including the launch of BEYOND THE SURFACE, PID’s new video series featuring conversations with the makers and creators behind inspirational projects. Skutelsky is an NWFA Certified Sales Advisor, a member of the NWFA Emerging Leaders Council, and works with the Hardwood Federation – traveling to Washington, D.C. to meet with members of Congress and advocate for issues impacting the wood flooring industry.

Joshua Smith started in the company 12 years ago as a material handler. He showed great enthusiasm for learning and was soon promoted to side matcher operator. This was only the beginning of his career, as he was promoted to assistant supervisor, then to supervisor, and now to production manager. Smith has helped Ouachita Hardwood & Townsend grow into different phases of the industry. The company was already in the specialty industry, but under Smith’s leadership, it has added many more products, including a herringbone line. He leads by example and always is willing to go the extra mile for his company and his fellow employees. Additionally, he aided the company in the achievement of the OSHA Safety and Health Achievement Recognition Program certification. Outside of work, Smith has four children and spends as much time as he can with them. He is very involved in their extracurricular activities, including coaching some sports as needed in the community.
