Gilbert, Arizona

Even before Gilbert became an official community, it already had three major churches established with their own buildings. The Church of Christ was the first church to build its own facility in 1914, followed in 1918 by the Mormon Church. The First Methodist Church was built in 1919. The Catholic resi dents attended church in Mesa prior to building Saint Anne’s Catholic Church.
