Charlotte State Bank & Trust Makes Donations for Children in Need
C harlotte State Bank & Trust made generous donations to local organizations, including the Sunrise Kiwanis of Port Charlotte and the Salvation Army. All five offices of the Charlotte County bank participated in collecting new toys, clothing and other “wish list” items on behalf of the Salvation Army and the Florida Guardian ad Litem program to help brighten the holiday season for area children in need. In addition, bank offices collected
new sneakers for students in need in the Charlotte County Public School System. The shoes and money came from customers and bank staff, the latter through the bank’s “Casual for a Cause” program, in which bank employees make donations for the privilege of wearing jeans and sneakers on Fridays. In all, the bank collected 149 pairs of new shoes, and the money will allow for another 150 pairs to be purchased.
