Brave Enough To Be Bliss

amazing person, Ginger. It is clear that God has had a plan for you. I will continue to pray that you find your next chapter and the plan he as for you. I'm so excited for you!

I wasn ’ t surprised to see the following Facebook post Vrenda shared. “When you are under too long, who are the people that will look for you, notice, and dive in to pull you to the surface when you are under too long, who are the people that will look for you, notice, and dive in to pull you to the surface when you lose your strength to swim? Who are the people that would do that for you? And can someone count on you to be that person that would go looking and notice when they are under too long, diving in to support them when they are all out of fight and fuel to swim in these turbulent waters we call life?” Anita Alvarez , Western Ranch & Pet Supply Facebook I sure am grateful Vrenda noticed, dove in, and pulled me to the surface all those years ago when I had lost my strength to swim. And, no doubt, she’d do it again today. While I believe Jesus did come to sit on my bed that night, I don’t know if it was because of her prayers or if it would have happened anyway. But without her early morning visit, I know I would have considered trying to end my life again that day or night and likely would have succeeded. So please allow the powerful message of my life saved to touch your soul. Because this one person cared enough to ask me a hard question, I didn’t have a chance to contemplate taking those pills again and I am alive to write this book and now live a life of joy. There are as many different reasons for pain in this life as there are people in this world. Please care enough to ask questions, listen, don’t judge what you may not understand , and encourage someone who is hurting to connect with professional help. If there’s a misunderstanding, very few people would ever be upset that you cared enough to check. And even if they are upset, you can remember another person’s behavior reflects that person, not you, so much better to ask a lifesaving question than lose a life.

“There is always light, if only we’re brave enough to see it. If only we’re brave enough to be it.” Amanda Gorman

A friend encouraged me a couple years ago to download the Co-Star app on my phone. It has real-time horoscopes and although I usually turn off app notifications, I don ’ t for Co-Star. I generally read it because it only takes a few seconds and more than once it’s been eerily profound. I took a screen shot of this one because it seemed so perfect for where I was in life, “You are standing at the entrance of a new door.”

And that’s exactly what it felt like was happening. And I wasn’t even scared, I was just excited to open the door and see what was next.
