NEWS SPEECH AND DEBATE: Voices of the Future

The power of words takes center stage in our Speech and Debate programs. Students learn to articulate their ideas, engage in critical thinking, and develop their public speaking skills. Through tournaments and competitions, they gain confidence and learn to advocate for themselves and their beliefs. These skills are essential for success in college, career, and life. We encourage you to support our debaters as they compete throughout the year.

CHEERLEADING: Spirit and Strength

Our cheerleading squads bring energy and enthusiasm to our athletic events, embodying school spirit and supporting our teams. These athletes demonstrate incredible strength, agility, and teamwork. They are not only cheerleaders but also ambassadors for their schools, promoting sportsmanship and community pride. We look forward to cheering them on at their upcoming competitions!

ART: Creativity in Every Hue

The visual arts come to life in our classrooms, where students explore different mediums and express their unique perspectives. The Texas Art Education Association (TAEA) Convention provides professional development opportunities for our art educators, ensuring that they are equipped with the latest techniques and resources to inspire our students. We are also excited about the upcoming UIL art competitions, where our talented artists will showcase their work. The Junior Visual Arts Scholastic Event (Jr. VASE) in April provides middle school students with an opportunity to participate, while high school students can participate in VASE in March, with State VASE in April. These events celebrate the creativity and talent of our young artists.

JOURNALISM: Telling Our Stories

Our Journalism programs empower students to become storytellers, journalists, and media producers. They learn the fundamentals of reporting, writing, photography, and design, developing skills that are essential in today's digital world. These programs provide a platform for students to share their voices and perspectives, informing and engaging their communities.
