They've Got Claws Nimitz Volleyball Anticipating Another Playoff Appearance

WHILE THE LADY COUGARS HAD THEIR SHARE OF UPS AND DOWNS IN 2023, THEY STILL EMERGED AS ONE OF THE TOP TEAMS TO COME OUT OF ALDINE ISD AND REACH THE POSTSEASON. Unfortunately, they were tasked with taking on Grand Oaks in the Bi-District round, who would ultimately go on to be crowned the UIL-6A State Champs. Regardless, coach Rhonda Williams brings back plenty of fire-power this year to make another run towards the playoffs. The trio of Jalyn Gibson, Jada Jones and Jaylah Alexander pack a major punch on offense, while MyAngel Taylor, Zion Mosby and Scarlet Gutierrez cover the back-line. If all goes as planned in the coming months, Nimitz will see to it that last year’s first-round exit becomes an afterthought.
