It can be difficult to get swimming photos in such crisp, clear focus, but the photographer succeeded. It’s even more impressive that the swimmer is looking toward the camera and you can see her eyes. This photo was taken at the perfect moment – in addition to catching the subject as she came up for a breath, her arm creates a frame around her face and the water curves around her. The focus is sharp – you can make out details in her face and the water around her. Additionally, this photo has excellent white balance – it’s very easy for pool photos to come out dark or with a yellow tinge.
