This is a great photo showing the important second before scoring a touchdown. The player is in sharp focus – you can even see his expression, which is surprisingly nonchalant compared to the excited crowd behind him. This focus is particularly impressive when you consider how fast he must have been running. The white balance, exposure and contrast in this image are great, and we like that it follows the rule of thirds. The depth of field is great, but we’re glad you can still make out what’s happening in the background. It provides great context for this moment.
