STARBURST COMIC EFFECT TOOLS USED: SHAPES, EDIT PATH 1. Use the Shapes tool to place a star on the canvas. 2. With the Select tool, click your star and change the fill to white and the border to black. a. You can adjust the thickness of the border in the Object panel to the right. b. You can also adjust the amount of points in your shape in the Effects panel and reducing or increasing the amount of sides. 3. Right-click your shape and select Edit Path. 4. With the Curve tool select, convert all the inside points to curved lines. 5. Select the Move Single Point tool and begin adjusting the curves using the lines that appear. a. This may not be necessary depending on the number of sides, but if you notice your points are too dramatic this will help. 6. Now it’s ready to be used in design! Feel free to change the color of the border and fill depending on your needs.
