THE 2022 SEASON WILL MARK A NEW FRONTIER FOR GOOSE CREEK CISD VOLLEYBALL PROGRAMS AS THEY SHIFT DISTRICTS FOR THE FORESEEABLE FUTURE. Baytown Lee, Baytown Sterling and Goose Creek Memorial all remained in Class 5A in the last UIL Realignment . The trio will stay together, battling it out in District 17-5A this fall. Their new district foes include Crosby, Barbers Hill , Nederland, Port Arthur Memorial and Port Neches Groves. A change of pace from the nine-team district they were in with the likes of State Semifinalist Manvel , perennial powers Friendswood and Santa Fe to name a few. As they gear up for the 2022 campaign, check out the info you need on the Ganders, Rangers and Patriots. BAYTOWN STERLING RANGERS The Rangers were the lone team from GCCISD to make the playoffs a year ago. Baytown Sterling went 22-14 overall and 9-6 in district play to secure the fourth and final postseason slot . “It felt really good for us because we had that goal at the beginning of the season and being able to compete with the good teams was great ,” Katy Barger said.
