While the girls’ and boys’ teams finished fifth and ninth overall, respectively, there were still a plethora of individual athletes who stood out among the hundreds of competitors at the tournament. Sophomore Kat Tilley picked up right where she left off a year ago, as she took gold in the 50-yard Freestyle event. Ella Lee made an outstanding freshman debut by placing first in the 200-yard IM event, second in the 100 yard Breaststroke, and also played a key role in Concordia Lutheran’s third-place finish in the 400-yard Freestyle Relay. On the boys’ side, Brendan Trittipo was a bright spot, finishing within the top-10 of both the 200-yard Freestyle and 100 yard Butterfly events.
