DOWN TO THE DETAILS Submitting pages and compiling the index are two detailed tasks. Enhancements will help. In recent years, the page submission process has improved dramatically. The ability to submit pages to the printing company via the Internet has added days to deadlines — precious days to fine-tune copy and spread design, and create the index. Walsworth Enhancements that aid in the submission and creating processes are PDF Builder and Index Builder. PDF Builder will check your pages for the most common issues that cause pages to be stopped in the publishing facility. Index Builder allows you to locate and compile the names of people and businesses on pages throughout the yearbook. These tasks are not difficult but do require students who are attentive to detail. You and your editors, who should have that characteristic, will probably handle submission, but find another such staff member to create the index.
