ODDS & ENDS An experiment in “Collective Effervescence”

When people are engaged in a shared purpose, it often leads to what the sociologist Emile Durkheim called “collective effervescence.” That’s the title of an exhi bition of artwork by 13 DU students at the Anderson Academic Commons throughout February and March.

The exhibit included “In the Neon Glow” (see below) by computer science major Lauren Wholey. The works on display were created in a portfolio art class offered by DU’s School of Art and Art History.
