Restoring the Sparkle ODDS & ENDS At the Evans Chapel, long a space of respite on the DU campus, stained glass windows date back to the building’s first incarnation in downtown Denver. After the chapel was disassembled, stone by stone, and relocated to University Park decades ago, the eight windows were reinstalled, though far from perfectly. A recent restoration aimed not just at stabilizing and cleaning the windows but also at preserving idiosyncrasies in place for 60 years. The project was supervised by the University’s architects and completed by Watkins Stained Glass Studio of Englewood, Colorado.
