2018 Kirk McGil l (JD ’18) has joined Hall Estill, a regional Southwestern law firm headquartered in Oklahoma, as special counsel in its Denver office. Kirk is a full-service attorney who specializes in federal and state appeals, litigation, constitutional law and civil rights defense, tax, and estates and trusts, among other areas. 2019 Brian Klintworth (MT ’19) has been promoted to partner of HBE LLP, a certified public accounting and consulting firm in Nebraska. Brian joined the firm in 2015 as an intern and soon began a full-time career as an accountant. He recently was the firm’s tax director. Andre Shinyashiki (BSBA ’19) has left the Colorado Rapids to play for Charlotte FC. 2020 Jacquie Rich Fredericks (EdD ’20) was named the new vice president, general counsel 2021

and secretary to the board of trustees for the University of Northern Colorado. Jacquie worked for the Colorado Department of Law for the past 11 years. Maddie Karr (BSBA ’20), former DU gymnast, married USFL football player Colby Wadman in Stillwater, Minnesota. 2022 Cole Guttman (BA ’22), former Pioneers men’s hockey captain, signed a two-year, entry-level contract with the Chicago Blackhawks. Cole helped the Pioneers men’s hockey team win the NCAA National Championship during the 2021–22 season. Ryan Barrow (BSBA ’21, MS ’22), a member of the winning 2021–22 men’s hockey team, has signed a professional contract with the Manchester Storm of the Elite Ice Hockey League in England.

LOGAN O’CONNOR (BSBA ’21) won the 2022 Stanley Cup with the Colorado Avalanche. Logan was a member of the Pioneers’ 2017 NCAA National Championship team, making him the 33rd player to win both an NCAA Championship and a Stanley Cup. He signed with the Avalanche in 2018 and wrapped up his fourth season with this historic win.

Andrew Lewis (BSBA ’16) was promoted to director of front office operations at Park Hyatt New York.
