A decade ago, when the University of Denver hosted the first debate in the 2012 presidential campaign, students were essential to the preparations. At a dress rehearsal for the big showdown, Dia Mohamed (BS ‘16), pictured at right, and Zach Gonzales (BA ’13) stood in for Democrat Barack Obama and Republican Mitt Romney. A photo of the two of them appeared on the front page of The New York Times the next day. Read more about that famous rehearsal on page 40.
