Twenty Consecutive Years as a Tree Line USA® Utility Each year since 2001, the Arbor Day Foundation has honored CREC as a Tree Line USA utility in recognition of its commitment to proper tree pruning, planting, and care. CREC was the first cooperative in Missouri and third in the country to earn this designation. A partnership between the foundation and the National Association of State Foresters, Tree Line USA recognizes public and private utilities for pursuing practices that protect and enhance America’s urban trees. The program promotes the dual goals of delivering safe and reliable electricity while maintaining healthy community forests.
