roller coasters, boating, and bicycling. While it is not part of his job description as general manager, Tom has been a consistent and valuable member of the CYC Race Committee. He has volunteered many hours of his time, and the use of his boat The Pearl , to the club’s regatta program.

Accounting Manager Vesta Gray

128 The First Hundred Years: Clearwater Yacht Club, 1911-2011 Lois was born in New Jersey and moved to Florida with her parents as a young girl. She graduated from Clearwater High School and attended St. Petersburg Junior College. Lois and her husband have two daughters and five Vesta Gray is a native Floridian who was born, grew up, and attended high school in Quincy, Florida. She graduated from Florida State University where she majored in human/personnel resources and minored in accounting. She received a second degree in accounting from Teikyo Post University. Before moving to Clearwater and joining the CYC staff in 1999, she spent most of her career with Abrams and Company Publishing where she was director of finance and administration. Vesta is married to William Neibel. Her hobbies include reading, sports, boating, and traveling. When she’s not keeping the club’s finances in order, Vesta is one of CYC’s gracious and popular bartenders. Office Manager Lois Hines
