In 2026, the National Collegiate Landscape Competition marks its 50th year of developing careers and strengthening the industry’s workforce pipeline. Each spring, nearly 800 students from more than 60 horticulture and landscape programs gather together to test their skills, learn from industry pros, and connect with landscape companies from across the nation. NCLC isn’t just an event—it’s a strategic workforce advantage . Participating companies gain early access to emerging talent, strengthen their brand among future hires, and help shape the highest level of industry professionalism.

From Play to Profession Through Roblox. The NALP Foundation’s Landscape Design Empire on Roblox has quickly become a standout educational tool—now ranking in the top 1% of all Roblox experiences . Since launching in March 2024, the game has attracted 200,000+ unique players , giving young people an immersive look into landscape careers through interactive commercial and residential projects and branded equipment from STIHL.

New sponsors and expanded gameplay—highlighting areas like tree care, plant production, and nursery operations— are planned for 2026, ensuring continued growth and deeper industry engagement.
