Show Me the Ozarks September 2022

It’s finally Bluegrass season! We are gearing up to host over 13,000 people in Carl Junction for the 25th Anniversary Carl Junction Bluegrass Festival. Festivities kick off Friday night, September 23, with a 5K Glow Run/Walk sponsored by Stones Corner Pharmacy. A 400m kids fun run will start at 6 pm, 5K begins at 6:30 pm and Red Bridge Bluegrass Band will play live at 6:30 pm. We are so excited to host this 5K at Bulldog Stadium in Carl Junction. Then head out to Center Creek Park from 9-6 pm for the big festival sponsored by Joplin Floor Designs. Free admission and free parking. There will be nine Bluegrass bands playing live under the pavilion, kids’ area with bounce houses, splatter paint, petting zoo, games, food trucks, craft vendors, boutiques, business booths, artists, beer and wine garden and more. We will sell 25th Anniversary Carl Junction Bluegrass T-shirts and raffle tickets for a new banjo donated by Palen Music. We can’t wait to see you there!

T he Carl Junction Area Chamber of Commerce just wrapped up its final Second Tuesday on Main Street of the year with Retro Night. It was an amazing summer event, and we can’t wait for its return in June 2023. We also recently partnered with the Barton County, Carthage, Joplin and Neosho chambers of commerce to host a Regional Non-Profit Meetup. It’s exciting to see our local chambers of commerce team up to promote regional growth in our community.
