Show Me the Ozarks August 2022

C arl Junction has been a busy place this summer with the community loved event series known as Second Tuesday on Main Street. If you haven’t had a chance to come out, August is the last chance to experience this family fun street fair! Retro Night, sponsored by Mid Missouri Residential Lending - Sean Parks, will be held Tuesday, August 9, from 4:30-7:30 pm. There will be lots of food trucks, live music, bounce houses, games, freebies, vendors and giveaways! Always held on Main Street in Carl Junction between Water and Wise streets leading up to the Carl Junction Community Center. We are also excited to team up with area chambers - Barton County, Neosho, Carthage and Joplin - to host a Regional Non-Profit Meet Up Tuesday, August 2, from 9-11:30 am to connect area non-profit organizations through networking and providing resources to assist in growth and collaboration on a regional level. We hope to co-host this yearly! We are only a little over a month away from the 25th Anniversary Bluegrass Festival held in Center Creek Park Saturday, September 24, from 9 am-6 pm. This year, we are bringing back the 5K Glow Run/Walk to Bulldog Stadium Friday, September 23, starting with a kid’s fun run at 6 pm. 5K starts at 6:30 pm, and Red Bridge Bluegrass Band will play live at the football stadium during the event.
