School and Community Summer 2024

Meet Tillie! T illie is MSTA’s new AI-powered tool for educators. Named after Mathilde Gecks, MSTA’s first woman president, Tillie can do everything from helping you find resources on the MSTA website to crafting an interdisciplinary unit for your classroom. We are constantly training Tillie on new resources, so it is something that is only getting better over time. Start your conversation at msta.org/Tillie . Here are just a few of the ways Tillie can help you: Write classroom materials – We are training Tillie on the Missouri Learning Standards so she will be able to quickly produce lesson plans, rubrics, review questions and more. Answer your employment questions – Have an employment question after hours? Check with Tillie before reaching out to your Member Service Coordinator. If you don’t know who your MSC is, just let Tillie know where you teach, and she can provide their name and contact information. Write a letter or email – Never start with a blank screen again. Give Tillie some details, and she can give you the first draft of a letter of recommendation, an email to parents, a letter requesting donations, an email to your legislator or any other correspondence that you need to write. Find MSTA resources – Looking for information about classroom management? Ask Tillie. Need some tips on trauma-informed instruction? Ask Tillie. As we continue to train Tillie on MSTA’s professional learning resources, it will become even more robust.
