Maddy Johnson will join MSTA as a Member Service Coordinator this summer and is excited to bring her expertise into the role. She grew up in Lake Lotawana and earned a Bachelor of Education in Elementary Education from the University of Central Missouri. Maddy later completed the University of Missouri Fellowship program where she received her Master of Education in Learning, Teaching and Curriculum. She is currently working towards her doctorate
in Curriculum & Instruction with a focus on Educational Technology from Liberty University Online. She began her career teaching first grade in Kansas City during her fellowship year and has taught fourth grade at Lone Jack Elementary for the past six years. Why MSTA? No matter the MSTA experience - from Convention to Central Region events to Education Policy Committee meetings - I always leave feeling excited, refreshed and re-energized about education. I want to be more involved in making other educators feel that way! What do you look forward to learning at MSTA? I look forward to learning about my members and the districts I will be supporting. What’s a fun fact about you? I am a black belt in Karate!
Please recycle me! When you finish reading your School & Community magazine, please consider recycling by sharing with your physician’s office. Just cover up your mailing label with a blank one and you will be set. Let’s spread the word about Missouri’s teachers!
It's Not Goodbye, it's "See You Later."
