rewarding when we can make positive changes. What do you enjoy doing in your free time? In my free time, I enjoy golf, BBQ, cooking and sipping fine whiskey. What do you think is the most valuable benefit of being an MSTA member? The most valuable benefit of being an MSTA member is the support we offer through our community of educators throughout the state of Missouri. We are much stronger together than we are as individuals. Which breed of cat or dog would you be? I have always been and will continue to be a tiger. They are at the top of the food chain. Go Mizzou! Are there more doors or wheels in the world? Wheels, for sure. I do not socialize with people who think there are more doors. Name: Kimberly Bielinski Service area(s): Greater Kansas City and Central areas How long have you been a member service coordinator? 8 years What is your favorite part of your job? I have a strong passion for advocating for our members. I love getting out in buildings and meeting some of the best and brightest educators in the state! Hearing the great things that are happening in our classrooms brings me much joy and comfort that our greatest resource, our students, are well taken care of and their futures look bright! What do you enjoy doing in your free time? When the weather is fair, I have a 2018 HD Road Glide Special that I ride as much as possible. I enjoy scuba diving and spearfishing in the warm waters of the Caribbean when I can get away! For down time just around the house you will find me reading or cooking. What do you think is the most valuable benefit of being an MSTA member? The comment that I hear the most from members is that just knowing that they have someone to call as a resource, to ask questions or get help in situations, puts their mind at ease so that they can teach on a day-to day basis. I enjoyed that benefit as a classroom teacher myself and it did help knowing there was someone there if needed.

What do you think is the most valuable benefit of being an MSTA member? There is a vast number of resources available to MSTA members. This includes everything from access to staff attorneys, professional learning, discounts and deals. Which breed of cat or dog would you be? I would be a gollie, a mix of a golden retriever and a border collie. This might be because I am dog mom to the dynamic duo of Cash and Tango. Are there more doors or wheels in the world? I would say there are more wheels.

What do you enjoy doing in your free time? Soaking up the sun at the lake and doing beginners Yoga. What do you think is the most valuable benefit of being an MSTA member? The support that MSTA provides. We provide liability insurance, but more important is that in any educational situation we are there to provide support. We do things as small as helping craft a professional e-mail to as large as representing you in a legal situation. MSTA members NEVER have to feel alone in difficult situations and that reassurance is one of our most valuable benefits. Which breed of cat or dog would you be?
