Myth #3: “I need to renovate everything first.” Not all updates pay off. Focus on high-impact, low-cost improvements like fresh paint, deep cleaning, and small repairs. Myth #4: “Buyers can look past clutter.” They can’t—and they won’t. A clean, staged home photographs better, shows better and sells faster. Myth #5: “Cash buyers are always the best.” Cash can mean speed, but not always the best price. The strongest offer is a combination of price, terms, and reliability. Myth #6: “Waiting longer will always get you a better price.” Homes that sit on the market for too long can actually see lower offers, as buyers may become wary. Don’t gamble with myths.
