Amy and Brad wasted no time immersing themselves in SOMA life, actively engaging and joining local organizations. Brad, a dedicated flag football coach, has nurtured young talent for years. Amy has served on the PTA and currently holds the role of Booster Club Trustee, supporting Columbia high school’s football team. Both Amy and Brad are lifelong fitness enthusiasts. Amy, a former instructor at The Core Place in Maplewood, finds fulfillment in working with friends and neighbors, giving back to the place she now calls home. She shares, “My work is mostly local, and it involves collaborating with the people I care about. It’s my way of showing love to the community.” Their children, Caden and Austin, also found their niches within the community. Caden, a seventh grader at SOMS, is passionate about wrestling, diving, basketball, and football. Austin, a junior at Columbia High School, plays as wide receiver on the school’s football team and showcases his talents as a drummer in the band “Hypnotized,” which has performed at local festivals. Additionally, during the summer, Austin can be found at the YMCA, mentoring and guiding younger children. As you can imagine, the Lutz family is also very social. Amy and Brad love to host parties. They also take joy in opening their home for their sons and their many friends. Amy shares, “Living in this neighborhood means our house is always filled with friends and neighbors, day in and day out. We wouldn’t have it any other way.” When advising new buyers, Amy often mentions, “Be prepared for your doorbell to ring on your first or second day in the neighborhood, as neighbors show up with food and welcoming smiles.” The genuine warmth and open arms of the residents of SOMA creates an environment where newcomers swiftly find a place they can call home. The Lutz family takes immense pride in calling SOMA their forever home.
