MEET THE LUTZ FAMILY

Brad and Amy’s love story began with an unexpected turn during a round of telecom layoffs. Brad assured Amy, “I will definitely reach out if I can hire you back,” unknowingly setting the stage for a lasting connection. True to his word, Brad rehired Amy, sparking a love affair that thrives two decades later. The Lutz family now includes Amy, Brad, their children Austin (16) and Caden (12), and their furry companions Dobby the dog, and cats Bruno and Jojo. Their journey as a family began in the vibrant streets of New York City, where both Brad, a Manhattan native, and Amy, a former city dweller, felt at home in the bustling energy of Brooklyn. However, the challenges of urban life, including parking difficulties, crowded spaces, and a lack of greenery, began to take a toll. Despite their dream apartment in Brooklyn, they yearned for change. Their search led them to the welcoming embrace of South Orange, where they found solace and a sense of belonging. Reflecting on their move, Brad shares, “We didn’t know anybody at all. It was an adventure, but it turned out to be the best decision we ever made. Our neighbors made us feel right at home, and the vibe felt remarkably familiar.” After moving to South Orange, Amy combined her passion for helping people with her love of design for a career in real estate. Her business stands out for its design-forward approach and her genuine care for clients. Meanwhile, Brad, a seasoned telecom executive, seamlessly transitioned to remote work, enjoying the extra time with family.
