BOOK FEST Joyce Carol Oates and 60 Children’s Authors to Headline Maplewood South Orange Book Festival, Sunday, October 1st.

The Maplewood South Orange Book Festival will be returning for its seventh book-filled year on Sunday, October 1st from 11AM 4PM at the Woodland. Iconic author Joyce Carol Oates will headline the adult programming, along with best-selling writers Mary Beth Keane and Laura Spence-Ash, and local authors Eliza Minot, Laura Sims and Boo Trundle.

The festival will also feature 60 children’s authors—its most ever. Among those appearing will be award-winner Ibi Zoboi, Tracey Baptiste, Bad Kitty author Nick Bruel, Sayantani DasGupta, Sheetal Sheth, Artie Bennett, Michael Rex, as well as local favorites including Ethan Berlin, Jay Cooper, Christopher Healy, and many, many more. There will also be a variety of kids-related activities and fun and games, as well as music, balloons, and all-around bookish mayhem for the whole family. The entire festival is FREE OF CHARGE.
