ANDRES TRUJILLO Village Pickup Truck Rentals is a locally owned and operated pickup truck rental business that serves the SOMA and Millburn neighborhoods. The company was founded in 2023 by a local resident, Andy Trujillo, who noticed a problem in the community. He explained, “Many families in the area don’t have access to a pickup truck, and renting one can be a hassle. Village Pickup Truck Rentals was created to solve these problems.” MEET THE MERCHANT

Village Pickup is unique in its focus on convenience. The company offers transparent, flat-rate pricing, and you can rent a truck for as little as two hours, or a full day. There are no complicated fees or additional mileage charges, and you can use the truck for any job. After booking, the company texts you a local pickup location in SOMA, and when you’re done, you can just park and lock the truck in your driveway. The company will pick up the truck for its next job, so there’s no need to shuttle back to drop it off. What makes Andy especially proud of the business is the fact that his 7-year-old son has taken a big interest in the company. He shared, “He’s been eager to help hand out flyers and think about ways to spread the Village Pickup name. His excitement to serve our community has multiplied mine one hundred times over!” The Trujillo family is also active in the local community, volunteering their time at school and contributing to the Maplewood community fridge. As the company continues to grow, it’s clear that it will remain committed to serving its local community and providing a high level of convenience and customer service.
