COMMUNITY COALITION This February, the Coalition’s Anti-Racism Committee (ARC) will present a series of workshops that bring all these issues together, so people can develop effective practices for combating racism, racial prejudice, and racial/ethnic discrimination. The ’Deconstructing Racism’ workshops explore how our society is infused with racist conditions and systems that impact us all behaviorally and psychologically, as well as what can be done to disrupt it. The training, presented and facilitated by members of the SOMA community, will look at four areas: ‘DECONSTRUCTING RACISM’ WORKSHOP SERIES BEGINS THIS FEBRUARY

• The culture of White Supremacy

• How structural/systemic racism is upheld and maintained

• The impact on people of color and the nation

• Ways we can disrupt racism
