BOOK RELEASE

Corey Wolff’s award winning first book is The Journey of an Acorn . It was recognized by the Independent Book Publishing Professionals Group, Next Generation Indie Book Awards, and the Eric Hoffer Book Award. Recently, Wolff published a children’s picture book, Mikey McMonsterson Goes to School. Mikey is friendly to children, likes taking bubble baths, and enjoys smelling flowers. But this sweet little monster does not fit in the land of Monsterville. All of the other monsters tease him. Even his parents wish he would act like a proper monster. So Mikey runs away from home. A boy discovers Mikey living under his bed, and they become friends. Children will learn that monsters can be friendly, even the ones hiding in their room. The book is dedicated to Wolff’s son Caleb who, at age four, was scared to go to sleep because he thought a monster was under his bed. Wolffe shared, “I told him that it was a friendly monster named Mikey and the story evolved from there.” Filjana Miljkovic, an award winning artist from Serbia, contributed the illustrations. While English is not her first language, Wolff collaborated with her on the Fiverr platform. He added, “The book took years to complete, but was worth it. We created something beautiful, that can help children overcome a fear of monsters at night.” The book is self published through Ingram Spark and available both online and through independent booksellers.
