BIG CHANGES AT THE FOX & THE FALCON

In June, Fox & the Falcon owner, David Massoni, announced that Chef Ruby Felix-Curtis is leaving the restaurant to join her husband in an exciting new venture: the opening of Next Door Provisions in Jersey City (146 Yale Avenue, in the West Side neighborhood). “It’s a bittersweet moment for us,” said Massoni. “We love working with Ruby, but we’re also happy to see her join her family on the next step in her stellar career.” At Next Door Provisions, Chef Ruby will draw from her grandmother’s home cooking, her French Culinary Institute training, and notable professional experience. With Chef Ruby’s departure, Massoni announced Kris Welz as the new executive chef of The Fox & The Falcon. He explained, “Just like Ruby, we’re ‘keeping it in the family.’ We worked together for about six years in New York.” Chef Kris comes to The Fox & Falcon following five years as Corporate Training Chef at the international STK Group, overseeing operations for all new venues. Kris’ culinary education includes a degree in pastry arts from L’école des arts Culinaire Lenôtre, Paris. The Fox & Falcon offers a solid, contemporary American menu of elevated and thoroughly approachable fare, and some delicious new additions for the season.
