SOMA Living April 2025

MAPLEWOODSTOCK DID YOU KNOW.... • For the last 22 years, Maplewoodstock has been our community’s best FREE live music and arts event;

• Our costs to produce this festival have increased almost 30% since COVID 2019;

• Maplewoodstock is run by an all-volunteer committee;

• Costs include a professional production company for sound and stage, compensating headline acts and local bands, and all other logistics (including Port-a-Potty rentals, township police and public works expenses, insurance, permitting, signage, and more). Our motto has long been “a festival OF and FOR the community”. That’s why we need your support to keep Maplewoodstock the amazing free event that it is. Our goal this winter/spring 2025 is to raise at least $20,000 of additional funds so our 20th festival (over 22 years) can be the best ever! Text “MAPLEWOODSTOCK” to 53-555 or visit givebutter.com/maplewoodstock2025 to help or join our Donor’s Circle ($100+).

• While Maplewood Township is supportive of our festival, the Maplewoodstock festival receives no direct financial contribution from the township or your tax dollars; • We fund this festival almost entirely through merchandise sales, advertising, sponsorships, food and arts vendor fees, the beer garden (in partnership with the local South Orange Elks lodge #1154); • Maplewoodstock is produced by Music & Arts Education Project (MAEP), a Maplewood-based 501(c) (3) non-profit organization dedicated to promoting arts education in SOMA and in the SOMSD public schools;
