WHAT WE DO In the simplest terms, Midwest Food Bank gathers up food and gives it away for free In 2022, Midwest Food Bank Peoria distributed $32 million worth of food to 337 nonprofits. Volunteers are the lifeblood of Midwest Foodbank with 3,500 unique volunteers annually in Peoria DID YOU KNOW? Midwest Food Bank was started on a farm in Bloomington, IL 20 years ago Today Midwest Food Bank is comprised of 12 divisions, and in 2022 the collective organization distributed $480 million worth of food globally This makes Midwest Food Bank the third largest food bank in the United States
