HOW TO HELP We always need financial donations to take care of our needs. You can mail a check or stop by on a Tuesday with a check or cash, and ask for a tour, if you’d like. Caterpillar workers can donate with matching funds. If you would like to donate merchandise, we accept clothing and other items in very good condition on Tuesdays 11-6. Our schedules for giveaways and other information can be found on our Facebook page. We also work with families at Christmas to give them new gifts for their children. Last year we helped with over 400 children. So, we always need donations of new toys, games, electronics, dolls, etc.
VISION We hope to continue to do our utmost to help families from anywhere with clothing and other needs when they find themselves struggling financially. We plan on continuing to offer all services free of charge. VALUES We began in Crossroads UnitedMethodist Church in Washington, IL in 2009 and the need made us realize we needed our own buildingwherewe can continue ourmission permanently. We have an extraordinarily organized facility. We will never have boundaries to where we will serve. WHAT WE DO We give clothing, linens, housewares, shoes and thousands of other items at public giveaways four times eachmonth. We have an extraordinarily organized facility. Our
clients may come in up to twice eachmonth if they need to. We also have emergency services after fires, f loods, tornadoes, homeless needs and new foster children. DID YOU KNOW? Clients register when they come in the first time. We currently have nearly 4,000 families registered. Our 13-year-old mission survives on financial donations from the public. We can’t keep serving without donations to cover our expenses. Most of our clothing comes from public donations, but sometimes we must buy things that are in high demand, including children’s clothing. We shop in several second hand stores to make sure to have the childrens’ needs on hand. We are strong advocates against bullying. So having properly fitting and nice quality clothes on school children is vital to us. We have approximately 24 volunteers.
