Springboard programs allow the opportunity to work in groups in the community to learn life skills and have the opportunity to partner with businesses, schools, churches and other nonprofits for future success. Springboard programs are offered atmany sites throughout Tazewell County.

A Job Coach is there to help with resume’ building, identifying jobs, redesigning and/or adaptations that will lead to a more independent work setting and mock interviewing to help develop a working relationship between the person and employer. Through a wide array of options, people with developmental disabilities and visual impairments have
TheTCRCSightCenter is theonlydownstate low vision clinic assisting people with low vision issues such as macular degeneration or retinitis pigmentosis. Through low vision rehabilitation specialists, we will support each individual patient through a treatment plan that allows them to maximize their independence. Our educational community day services program provides a curriculum-based training program tailored to meet the needs and desires of each person we serve. Through daily living skills training, group projects, volunteer opportunities and work-like opportunities, we are supporting each person to be as independent as they wish to be.
