Sarah’s Poppyseed Ham Rolls
Makes 48 - These can be made ahead of time for a party and frozen, then baked.
1 pound of Smithfield ham sliced thin 2 packages of rolls (small party size) 2 - 8 oz. packs of Swiss cheese (sliced) 2 sticks of butter...room temperature 1/4 -1/2 cup minced onion (very finely minced)
2-3 tablespoons of Dijon mustard 2 teaspoons Worcestershire sauce 1-2 teaspoons of poppy seed
Mix together the last five ingredients. Slice the whole layer of rolls in half (keep in one piece), spread butter mixture on inside of bottom and top layer. Add ¼ lb. ham (bottom layer). Add 4 oz. (1/2 package) Swiss on top of ham. Carefully flip top of rolls back on. Repeat with the rest of the rolls, a dozen at a time. Wrap in foil and bake at 350 for 30 minutes until all the cheese is melted.
