NWFA 40th Anniversary Special Edition

“Happy 40th anniversary, NWFA! I’m proud to say I have been part of it for 30 years. I had the unique experience of coming in as a total newcomer to the industry and the association with no experience in hardwood flooring at all. I was welcomed in, and everybody shared their perspective and their knowledge with me. Here I am, three decades later, with so many friends and connections from all around the country. I can pay it forward and give back. It’s been a pleasure serving on the board and as chair.”

“My first experience with the NWFA was taking the five-day basic wood floor installation and finishing class in the old Chesterfield, Missouri, training facility. There, I had the chance to work with some industry legends, learning how to install wood in a safe environment where we could all learn from our mistakes and not get sued by a homeowner.
