Aman New York, Aman Suite NEW YORK, USA

Aman revealed its fi rst US property this summer in the heart of New York City. The hotel is housed in the historic Beaux-Arts Crown Building at the bustling corner of Fifth Avenue and 57th Street. The open-plan apartment features pivoting partition walls that connect the expansive living room and study with the bedrooms. In winter the suite is especially cozy with its glowing fi replace and heated bathroom fl oors. There’s also an original art collection on display, complete with a reproduction of Hasegawa Tohaku’s Pine Trees masterpiece. From $25,000 per night. The Retreat at Elcot Park, The Bushby Bacon Suite BERKSHIRE, UK

This charming English country escape, a sister property to The Signet Collection’s The Mitre at Hampton Court, opened its doors in Berkshire this spring. The hotel is situated within a Grade II listed 18th-century house that was once home to Lady Shelley, the mother of romantic poet Percy Bysshe Shelley. Of the 55 rooms, the Bushby Bacon Suite (named after Anthony Bushby Bacon, who owned Elcot Park in the 19th century) is the most inviting. The bathroom is particularly special with its roll-top tub that sits in the bay window, while the separate adjoining room has colorful bunk beds for kids. If you can bring yourself to venture outside, the hotel is home to a wonderful spa complete with a hydrotherapy pool. From $600 per night.
