Lynette Janac, Publisher/CEO

It’s time to start making those New Year’s resolutions for 2022. I already started my list! Whether you are working on your personal or professional goals, be sure to make them attainable, timely and realistic. My hope is that, despite any bumps in the road that might prevent you from accomplishing them, you have the faith to always move forward and do the best you can. Not only is this year coming to an end, but so is our 10-year anniversary year. It was 2011 when I published my first edition of Luxury Guide (formerly South Florida Luxury Guide ) and if you would’ve asked me 10 years ago where I expected to be or what I anticipated learning, I am not quite sure I know what I would’ve said. One thing for certain is I learned that there is nothing I can’t do—which means there is nothing you can’t do if you believe in yourself and put in the hard work necessary to make your dreams happen. I learned that while I started this business on my own, I was not alone—had it not been for the support of my team, friends, family and of course, my clients, I would not be here today. I learned that my core motivation comes from knowing I make an impact on people, and the more they appreciate me for it, the more I tirelessly want to support them. I learned that in this ever-fast moving world we live in, it is important to never rest on our laurels, always innovate and create— particularly as it pertains to business—which makes this an exciting time for me to share our new endeavor.

Florida Luxury Homes Group provides exceptional concierge real estate services for its clients, whether selling or investing locally or international. For those of you traveling to the Southeast Florida area, Debbie and her team have a wide selection of luxury oceanfront, waterfront and beach-area vacation homes and estates. If you have a home sitting empty, find out if it might qualify for her program. Visit FloridaLuxuryHomesGroup.com

We are currently in the process of curating our first Annual Florida Luxury Guide ( and special national one too ) that will serve as a Curated Lifestyle Resource Guide ! You’ll be able to skip hours of online research because we will have done it for you—from ideas on what to do and where to go throughout Florida ( with many staycation options to choose ), travel destinations in the U.S. and abroad to home design and decor inspirations from top retailers and interior designers. Be inspired by art from galleries, museums and artists; learn about some of the most desirable real estate markets to live in, visit or retire to. Get an adrenaline boost from a showcase of the hottest cars to drive and yachts to set sail in. Get tips from top beauty and wellness professionals, and—my favorite part—learn about unique finds that you never knew existed! Lastly, I hope you will enjoy this final issue of the year where we cover all the luxurious things we love, including our special feature on art and culture, as well as our annual holiday shopping guide!

Wishing you and your loved ones a safe and happy holiday season!

Gracefully yours,

Lynette Janac Publisher/Editor-In-Chief

L ast Last fall, my husband and I were looking forward to traveling to Italy—I had grand plans of traipsing through Rome, sipping limoncello in the Amalfi Coast, then heading to Sicily to explore the island where my in-laws are from. Of course, with the world under quarantine, we had to put those plans on hold before we even had a chance to purchase plane tickets. Finally, there seems to be a light at the end of the tunnel (a huge shout out to our frontline workers!), and our special travel issue couldn’t have come at a better time. Let us serve as your guide for finding the perfect, I remember my first Art Basel; it was 2014 and I had scored tickets to one of the billowing white art tents in Midtown. Once I stepped inside, I was transported into a orld of sculpture, paintings, photography, mixed m dia, murals and mor . The te t also served as a sort of Tower of Babel as artists from around the world shared their inspirations behind each piece. A lot has changed since then, of course. Miami’s Art Basel has exploded into mushrooms of satellite art fairs, and art walks are no longer relegated to just

well-deserved vacation after an unprecedented year (page 33). Whether you’re yearning to conquer the icy crags of Iceland or watch the sunset from a Healdsburg winery, traveling with a gaggle of single friends or with your kids in tow, we have a getaway with your name on it. And if you’re not ready to hop on a plane just yet, there’s plenty of locales within driving distance. What many of us have also been looking forward to is heading back to the gym or visiting our favorite med spa. In our Wellness & Beauty guide (page 84), we’ve rounded up the best treatments and tips from local experts, from fitness to skincare and innovative procedures to holistic treatments. And don’t forget that June 20 is Father’s Day! We’ve created a special shop guide (page 102) filled with gift ideas to show your dad how important he is to you. I’ve already circled a few items myself. And hopefully, dear readers, in another issue or two, I’ll be able to share just how delicious the limoncello is in Sorrento. Wishing you a fabulous and luxurious summer, Wynwood. Plus, wh could forget the uct-tap d banana incident of 2019? But it’s what makes Miami so, well, Miami. You never know what’s going to happen when you wander through an art walk, festival or swanky gallery opening. For this issue, we celebrate the arts with our sp cial f ture on Art B sel & Beyond (page 27). From the satellite fairs around town to top museums around the world and up-and-coming artists you can’t miss, we’ve covered art in all its forms. The festivals also coincide with the busy holiday season. We’ve curated a truly out-of-this-world Shop gift guide (page 85) for everyone from your partner and best friend to techies and even your fur baby. I highly recommend you circle a few items for yourself, too—it’s called self-care! Speaking of self-care, as you look forward to 2022, use our Destinations feature (page 64) as a travel guide to wellness around the world. We also have great tips for finding calm in your life in our Trending Wellness piece (page 82). As 2021 comes to a close, I wish you all a safe, happy and healthy holiday season. Artfully yours,

For Serving at Hanukkah: 2016 Arietta H Block Hudson Vineyards Type of wine: Red Varietal: 70% Cabernet Franc and 30% Merlot Origin: Napa Valley, Calif. Price: $90 What I like about the wine: This is a monster in a silk suit—full-bodied with great structure and gritty. This single vineyard shows beautiful notes of blue and black fruit, cocoa powder, clove, vanilla and tobacco. What I like about the wine: This is a beautiful syrah by the famous Lewis Cellars. It has an inky purple color with a robust and luscious palate: blueberry jam, mocha, dark chocolate, dry meats and spice. To Toast the New Year: 2007 Ca’ del Bosco Franciacorta Cuvée Prestige Type: White Varietal: 84% Chardonnay, 14% Pinot Nero and 2% Pinot Bianco Origin: Lombardy, Italy Price: $36 What I like about the wine: Refined, elegant and full-bodied with nothing to envy a good Champagne. This Italian sparkler overdelivers, with nice minerality, refreshing acidity, and notes of fresh baked brioche, ripe apple and lemon cake.
