A strong presence from both academia and government, including leaders from AOCS, the China Academy of Agricultural Science (CAAS) Bureau of International Cooperation, the Hubei Provincial Department of Agriculture and Rural Affairs, and the Wuhan Science and Technology Innovation Bureau, highlighted the growing national and international importance of this field. PLENARY SESSIONS: NEW VISIONS FOR LIPID SCIENCE The plenary program featured 25 internationally recognized scholars, including well-known academicians, presenting breakthroughs across lipid metabolism, marine bioactives, green processing, structured lipids, and woody oil resources. These sessions set a high scientific tone for the conference. Peiwu Li, academician at the Chinese Academy of Engineering, offered a comprehensive framework for understanding lipid metabolism and dietary oil selection, proposing the “Four Highs (dietary fiber, high quality protein, micronutrient, and unsaturated fatty acids), Three Lows (salt, sugars, and saturated fats), and One Balance (energy intake and expenditure)” principle for healthier consumption patterns.
