Highlights from the joint 8th International Symposium on Lipid Science and Health & the 5th AOCS China Section Biannual Congress. Held in Wuhan, China from November 7 thru 9, 2025.

Under the theme “Empowering the Sustainable Development of the Lipid and Protein Industry through Innovation,” more than 400 scientists, industry leaders, and young professionals from 12 countries convened in Wuhan for an exceptional gathering of lipid and protein science. This year’s 5th AOCS China Section Congress was held jointly with the 8th International Symposium on Lipid Science and Health, a long-running scientific symposium series founded by the Oil

Crops Research Institute of the Chinese Academy of Agricultural Sciences (OCRI CAAS). The joint meeting, co organized by OCRI-CAAS, the AOCS China Section, and Jinan University, and co-sponsored by Yihai Kerry Group, Cabio Biotech (Wuhan), and Myande Group, showcased how basic research, applied innovation, and industrial transformation are converging to shape the future of lipid and protein science.
