He was the driving force behind the installation and finishing of Grain Design Flooring’s 2025 NWFA Wood Floor of the Year Members’ Choice award-winning project. He also led the team responsible for a 7,000 square feet raw maple installation in downtown Cincinnati – a project recognized for its museum-level artistry and precision. Hamilton serves on the NWFA Emerging Leaders Council and actively engages in online flooring communities. Always generous with his time and knowledge, he helps fellow contractors troubleshoot challenges and encourages his peers with uplifting words. Hamilton's commitment to people is as strong as his dedication to wood flooring. Through his active role in a recovery network, he offers hope and encouragement to individuals struggling with substance abuse. His compassion, humility, and willingness to walk alongside others in their journey of recovery demonstrate true leadership and inspires everyone around him.

Alexis Harrington began her career as a designer specializing in high-end hospitality, contributing to prestigious hotel and restaurant projects around the world. Seeking a new challenge, she joined Galleher to head up A&D specification sales efforts. After a brief detour as an A&D sales representative for Restoration Hardware’s contract division, Harrington returned to Galleher – now GalleherDuffy, an Artivo Surfaces company – where she has become the go-to hardwood flooring resource for the San Francisco Bay Area design community. Fluent both in the language and process of design, she is an invaluable partner to clients, with a track record that includes securing national hospitality, commercial, and multi-family specifications coast to coast. A mother of three, Harrington coaches her daughter’s soccer team and regularly volunteers with organizations like the food bank and a charity that provides furniture to families in need. Whenever a neighbor experiences hardship, she is quick to organize a meal train and rally support. She also founded a 50+ member network that serves as a hub for local events, charitable initiatives, referrals, and donations. 15. Travis Helyer President Avox Craft Works MILLS RIVER, NC

Avox Craft Works was founded by Travis Helyer in 2014. After investing in top-tier equipment, utilizing the highest quality, U.S.-made flooring, and then joining the NWFA in 2021, he has quickly earned a reputation as one of Asheville, North Carolina’s elite flooring professionals.

Dedicated to craftsmanship, Helyer has extensive experience in the wood floor industry and goes above and beyond to bring his clients beautiful hardwood floors that stand the test of time. He is passionate about the craft and is dedicated to continued education and bettering the industry around him. Beyond his trade, Helyer is deeply rooted in his community. He often donates or discounts his labor to support churches and historic buildings. With a strong background in contracting, he also stepped up during last year’s devastating flood, lending his skills and time to help his neighbors rebuild after Hurricane Helene.
