The ladies of Gilbert also knew how to have fun in the 1920s. Here are a few in their modern swimsuits, taking the time to be photographed for the viewers of the future. Our ancestors were hard workers, but they also knew how to have a good time and enjoy spare time and holidays. In addition to the other activities, Gilbert also had its own basketball team that had very inter esting exercise clothing. They wore knee pads to protect them from floor scrapes. As you see, they were a handsome lot. Picnics were a wonderful way for townspeople to get together, to gather and socialize as a community.
