The old Mormon Church became the Boys and Girls Club of Gilbert. In 2007, the building was demolished, and new offices and shops will be built on the corner of Washington Street and Gilbert Road (Main Street.) After years of using the old Mormon Church building, the Boys and Girls Club constructed their own facility two blocks to the east of their original site in Gilbert. Many young people benefit from the opportunities afforded them at the new Boys and Girls Club, shown left.
