Expanding West Medicine

K aty is known as the “Medical Center West,” with four major hospitals in the area. To accommodate Katy-Fulshear’s rapid growth, medical providers are diligently working to open new facilities, and major hospitals are upgrading and expanding their services. HOUSTON METHODIST WEST HOSPITAL Houston Methodist West, located on I-10 between Greenhouse and Barker Cypress Rd., provides more than 200 beds and some of the most state-of the-art treatment options available, including the DeBakey Heart & Vascular Center, Neal Cancer Center, orthopedics and sports medicine, spine center, breast care center, childbirth center,

and the da Vinci Xi surgical robot. “The West Houston, Katy, and Fulshear area is thriving, and its development is projected to continue for years to come,” said Wayne Voss, Chief Executive Officer of Houston Methodist West Hospital. “As the community grows, we want to grow along with it, ensuring we have the capacity, services, and advanced technologies necessary to live up to our promise of leading medicine.” Houston Methodist West opened its third medical office building, a 150,000 sq. ft. facility housing various departments, including orthopedics, outpatient rehabilitation, primary care, neuroscience, and pain management.
